Staff Highlight: Lillie Adams

Our  Easton Porter Group team members are the heart and soul of what we do. From meals served at our restaurants to personal touches at our boutique hotels, our high-touch teams work hard to elevate the art and joy of travel and dining.

Today we are highlighting Lillie Adams, the Hospitality Coordinator at Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards. She is Pippin Hill’s go-to gal for every guest request. Lillie is a Charlottesville native and grew up in Albemarle County. Since she was a kid, she has loved hiking, camping, and being outside as much as possible. She is also a huge animal lover and the proud owner of her dog Scout. When she is not enjoying the outdoors or playing with her pup, she loves to craft. Carpentry, stenciling, and photography are some her crafting favorites. Lillie first discovered her interest in hospitality when she was a student at Virginia Commonwealth University. While there, she majored in psychology, which gave her a passion for serving others.

Check out the following Q&A to learn more about Lillie. Then, head over to Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards  to see her in her element. She will be sure to meet all your hospitality needs!

How did you end up at Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards?
After trying a couple of different jobs, I found Pippin Hill and started as a host.  I’ve found that having a background in psychology has helped me grow and enjoy my role in hospitality.  I love conversing with people and making them happy, which luckily is a huge part of my job!

What does a day in your life at Pippin Hill look like?
Every day is different here, which is something I love!  When I’m not at my desk you can usually find me on the floor with the Tasting Room staff.  We have a great team here and my priority is to always be available to help them with anything they need to make each day a great one.

What is your favorite memory from your time working at Pippin Hill?
It’s hard to pick a single favorite memory, but one of my favorite days was the Summer party last year celebrating our five year anniversary.  It’s not often that all off the people that work here are brought together besides the annual Christmas party.  I loved being able to relax and enjoy the view with all of my friends here.

What’s the best thing about working at Pippin Hill?
I think the best part of working at Pippin Hill is the solid, talented and inspiring team we have.  From the Tasting Room staff to managers I have never worked in an environment that is so welcoming, fun and close.  I feel very lucky to have made many close friends in my time here.

What’s your favorite dish and wine on the Pippin Hill Tasting Room menu?
My favorite item on the menu is the classic cheese board.  It is different every day and I never get tired of the delicious jams, honeys, and of course cheese! I have to say the 2015 Chardonnay Reserve is my favorite wine. I saved a bottle before we switched over to the 2016 vintage, and it will have to be a very special occasion for me to open it.

When you’re not working, what can we find you doing?
When I’m not at work you can almost always find me outside with my dog, Scout.  Most of my time is spent hiking, running, and playing with her.  I also love spending time with my family, friends, and boyfriend.  When I’m home, I enjoy cooking, crafting, and reading.

We believe our team members are some of the best people out there. Visit one of our properties to experience our welcoming hospitality service first-hand, and check out our jobs page to see if you have what it takes to join the Easton Porter Group.
