Staff Highlight: Alexandra Dunlop

Our Easton Porter Group team members are the heart and soul of what we do. From meals served at our restaurants to personal touches at our boutique hotels, our high-touch teams work hard to elevate the art and joy of travel and dining.

Today, we are highlighting Alexandra Dunlop, our Hotel Manager at Zero George in Charleston, SC. Originally from the small town of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Alexandra moved to Charleston in 2010 to attend the College of Charleston, where she majored in Communications & Marketing. Graduating with the Class of 2014, she has worked in the hotel industry ever since! Alexandra and her husband live on Johns Island with their two dogs – Maxine and Stormi.

Check out the following Q&A with Alexandra to learn more, then head over to Zero George to see her in action.

When and where did your interest in the hospitality industry begin?

From a very young age, I was fortunate to be a part of a family that valued travel. I fell in love with the hospitality industry from the perspective of a guest, traveling all over the world. I quickly learned what I value in the guest experience and longed for the opportunity to be able to provide a curated, high-touch, memorable experience for others. What better place to do so than in the hospitality capital of the world – Charleston, SC!

How long have you been working at Zero George?

Going on four years!

What is one of your favorite memories from your time working at Zero George?

When I think of my top memories here I think of the relationships I’ve formed with some of our repeat guests. I especially love welcoming back familiar faces and the challenge of creating a unique visit for those guests each time they return! I adore Charleston so it brings me such joy to be able to share it with others.

How do you like to spend your free time in Charleston?

Any chance I get I am on the beach. As a resident of John’s Island, you can catch me at Folly Beach or Kiawah Island most Saturdays! I also love pretending to be a tourist in my own town so you may find me meandering around downtown, scoping out the best new restaurants and things to do!

We believe our team members are some of the best people out there. Visit one of our properties to experience our welcoming hospitality service first-hand, and check out our jobs page to see if you have what it takes to join Easton Porter.
