Today, we are highlighting Cheyenne Tarrance, Assistant Restaurant Manager, at Red Pump Kitchen in Charlottesville, Va. Cheyenne brings eight years of restaurant experience to Red Pump.

How long have you been working at Red Pump?
I have been working at Red Pump for two and a half years. I started in the kitchen and like being able to help out in all areas of the restaurant when needed!
What is your favorite thing about working at Red Pump?
Our team at Red Pump is extremely close and I enjoy getting to be around people I care about everyday.
What is your favorite cocktail on the menu right now and what do you love about it?
My favorite cocktail right now is called “Our Last Word.” It is a classic cocktail that started in Detroit during the prohibition era. Made with Green Chartreuse, Gin, Luxardo, and Lime, we put our own little spin on it and shake it with basil and Mazcal. It’s a boozy but delicious cocktail!
When you’re not working, what are some of your favorite things to do around Charlottesville?
When I am not at work, I love to go fishing! I wake up early most mornings, load my kayak onto my truck and stay out on the water as long as I can! I also enjoy any activity that involves spending time with my mom. She is my very best friend and I wouldn’t have been so successful without her!
